About Christine
A voice shaped by loss, love, and the courage to keep going.
Christine Dawood is a British-German author, speaker, and advocate whose work brings together lived experience, emotional insight, and a deep belief in the power of meaning after loss.
Her debut book, Ninety-Six Hours, tells the deeply personal story of the days surrounding the Titan submersible disaster, in which she lost her husband, Shahzada Dawood, and her son, Suleman Dawood. With honesty, grace, and emotional clarity, Christine writes not only about grief, but about love, family, wonder, and what it means to move forward after life changes forever.
Before stepping into the public conversation in this way, Christine’s path included work and study shaped by human behavior, reflection, and purpose. Today, she is building a body of work centered on resilience, remembrance, healing, and the ways people transform pain into action.
Whether she is writing, speaking, or supporting purpose-driven initiatives, Christine’s voice is grounded, compassionate, and clear. She is especially interested in conversations that help people face change, navigate loss, and live with greater intention.
IN HER OWN WORDS
“Resilience is not about becoming untouched by pain. It is about learning how to live truthfully and fully in its presence.”
On Writing & Resilience
I never imagined I would write a book like this.
Loss changes the questions you ask. It changes what matters. It strips life down to what is real.
Writing became a way to make sense of what had happened, to honor the people I love, and to speak to others who may be carrying grief of their own. Over time, I came to understand that resilience is not about becoming untouched by pain. It is about learning how to live truthfully and fully in its presence.
That understanding continues to shape everything I do now.
